A colourful Antique Suffragette ring made during the Edwardian era Circa 1915. The face of the ring is set with a fabulous approx. 0.75ct Amethyst flanked by two 0.60ct Peridots with six twinkling Diamonds set in-between.
Suffragette jewellery was worn to show one’s allegiance to the women’s Suffragette movement in the early 20th century and popularly consisted of Violet, Green and White stones which carried the message: Green for Give, white for Women and violet for Votes!
The piece is all solid 18ct Yellow Gold and features beautiful engraved scrolls along the top and shoulders. It is a wonderful representation of the movement boasting a lovely combination of stones.
