A stunning antique Victorian ring C.1900, set with a 0.18ct violet Amethyst a 0.18ct green Peridot and four lovely Pearls which together represent the Suffragette movement.
Suffragettes liked to be depicted as feminine, their jewellery popularly consisted of Violet, Green and White colours which were chosen to counter the stereotypes put forward by opponents that they were mannish or shrieking! Green is for Give, white is for Women and violet is for Votes!
The ring is fashioned in 18ct Yellow Gold with beautiful engraved detail on the front.
A highly sort after Suffragette piece which looks wonderful upon the finger.
